The beach is nice, the kids spent most of the time in the water. The sites are a decent size and double wide for parking a car or tow vehicle. The beach had several lifeguards in the towers and patrolling on an ATV and truck. However, there was no enforcement of the campground rules. There were quite a few campsites with more than the max number of people. The sites on both sides of us had at least 12 people. Generators ran from early in the morning to 10pm. Not once did I see one of the camp hosts making the rounds, even though there are 4 of them in the campground.

A decent park to use while passing through. Wifi went out part way through the evening, but there was a big thunderstorm, so that may have something to do with it. Sites and roads were gravel with some grass.

Management was OK. When we hooked up the power was only 105v. Luckily, I turned the air right off and told the office. Moved to another site and it was 110. While in the office 2 other sites said they couldn't sign on to the Wi-fi. When I tried I got the same error (invalid WPN). I tried again later and no Wi-fi signal at all. OK for a quick stop. Last note, there is a for-sale sign in the office window, so things may change in the future.

Very nice park, with a large family pool and an adult pool. Sites are large, well maintained, and clean. The only downside was the 5.95 charge to use the Wifi internet. Make your reservation online to get a 10% discount.

You have to sign it at the hotel first. The pull through sites are too short, 28' trailer and truck needed to be disconnected to fit. There is no pet area. The pool is very nice but you have to drive to is since it is too far to walk, especially in 110 degree heat. The restaurant has decent food for a reasonable price.

The sites are close together. There is no cell phone service for AT&T or Sprint. The sewer connection is raised up 8-12" which makes it hard to drain the waste tanks. The employees are nice. We had the only site in the park with hookups. We will come again.

The pool was freezing cold, even the kids couldn't stay in for long. The park is nice but sites are close together. Employees were nice too.

Park is nice, we liked the pull-through in a public park. The sewer hookup is raised 8" above ground so you need something to elevate the sewer hose. It's pricey at $60 a day - Parks Canada charges $20 per day plus the $40 camping fee. Stay for a week and it's cheaper to buy a Parks Canada year pass to all the parks at $136.

The campground is nice, but the rules aren't enforced. Dogs that barked all day long. Cars parked in places that they shouldn't, like on the grass at the bike and camp area. Showers were clean but no hot water. We will come back again because we enjoy camping here.

This is was the worst place we have stayed. Forget about the 'quiet hours' rules. The party lasts until late. Most of the other campers were regulars and were 'in' with the park staff. One of the noisiest party campsites was serving breakfast to the rangers the next morning. There was no room to park my tow vehicle (I have a 26 ft Trailer) and no overflow parking. I was told to park it several miles away and walk back. The roads are narrow, and it took 30 minutes to get to my site because I had to wait while other RVs tried to squeeze in to the very narrow parking spots. I will never go back even though we love camping at the beach.

We've been a couple of times. It's OK for off season camping. The sites are not well marked, and we had issues with people parking way over the line; as in 10 feet over. We also had another camper knock on our door late at night, and we found out she also went through our truck. Rangers with guns came out and determined that she forgot to take her medication. So much for a relaxing weekend.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. We always stay in the non-hookup side. When I was kid in the 60s this was also my favorite campground. Carpinteria is just as nice as it was 40 years ago. Swimming is very good, and Carpinteria's motto is "World's safest beach". If you plan your trip during a minus low tide the tide pools are some of the best in S. California.

This was the closest campground to Fossil Butte so we planned on going here after stopping at the visitor center. There was no one there to give us a site. The sites were just dirt and it looked like a shanty town. We decided to drive straight through to Salt Lake City.

Nice place to stay if you can get there by Thursday or Friday morning. The spaces are nose to tail. You are not supposed to have a fire but everyone does. The beach is beautiful after you climb down the rocks. If you have mobility issues it can be hard to get to the sand.
